About the Network

The Great Lakes Network (GLN) was created 11 years ago to provide a framework to support a new way of working together that accelerates collaborative work for the adoption, implementation, and enforcement of water-related policies for the Great Lakes region. The GLN is a web of support that enables groups working on water policy issues to expand their impact far beyond the boundaries of their organizations and to support peers and partners across sectors to solve complex problems. It leverages new perspectives and backgrounds to expand our thinking and provoke new ways of seeing problems and identifying solutions.

Network Objectives

  • Improved collective access to and utilization of information and knowledge.

  • Better coordinated responsiveness to current and emerging issues.

  • Enhanced integration, collaboration and coordination across issues and geographies (including the Canada – U.S.
    border)
