Explore

the Network

The Great Lakes Network (GLN) promotes collaboration between local and regional organizations to advance water policy in the Great Lakes region. The GLN extends resources, support, and communication across jurisdictional borders to identify opportunities and tackle threats together. Our community is home to an array of diverse perspectives and backgrounds that—when brought together—foster creative problem solving and innovation.

Communicate

and

Collaborate

Members of the Great Lakes Network are invited to monthly, virtual meetings where we identify opportunities to take action, share lessons and information across jurisdictions, and reflect on strategies.

Teamwork Collaborative is an electronic platform that enables members to email other members; share documents, files, and links; learn about other members and their work; create email lists, task lists, and document storage for collaborative projects.

Funding

and

Support

Freshwater Future is a GLN member organization that administers a seed fund to support self-organizing across organizations interested in learning or working together. Members may receive up to $2,500 per project.

Funding is allocated at the "sub-network" level, which are smaller, issue-oriented groups within the GLN. These sub-networks are headed by Lead Coordinators that facilitate communication and innovation.
